Before you order, you’ll need your child’s valid eyeglasses prescription and your child’s pupillary distance (PD). Your PD is the distance in millimeters between your pupils, and helps us center your prescription correctly in your frames. If your doctor did not include your PD on your prescription, you can measure it on your own (CLICK HERE FOR DIRECTIONS) or you can contact your eye doctor to request the PD as they may have it on file.  Most kids the PD ranges from 42 mm – 60 mm

Once you have your PD, please hand-write it onto the copy of your prescription before scanning and emailing to us or  you can submit the PD measurement to prescriptions@jonaspauleyewear.com or orders@jonaspauleyewear.com

WHAT IS THE STATUS OF MY PRESCRIPTION ORDER?

At this time, we don’t have a way for you to check the status of your prescription order online so if you need an update as to where your order is at please email us at orders@jonaspauleyewear.com and we can check into it further to help you out!  But do know that once we receive your prescription order & all of the necessary RX and PD info, we work hard and filling orders quickly so that your child can receive his or her new glasses soon! 

HOW DO I SUBMIT MY PRESCRIPTION?

After you’ve submitted your prescription order to us, you’ll be asked to email us over a copy of your eyeglass prescription; you can either snap a picture or scan it and email it to prescriptions@jonaspauleyewear.com or orders@jonaspauleyewear.com

MY CHILD HAS A HIGH PRESCRIPTION, CAN YOU FILL IT? 

We will do our best to fill all prescriptions, however, please know that some higher prescriptions may have an additional fee of $29.00 or $49 due to the custom lens work that is required of our lab technician.  If your child's prescription falls within this range our team will contact you directly with additional information.  

If your child's prescription falls outside of our ability to fill, our team will contact you directly to discuss further options.

CAN I JUST PURCHASE THE FRAME ONLY SO THAT I CAN TAKE THE FRAME TO MY LOCAL EYE DOCTOR/SHOP TO HAVE THE PRESCRIPTION FILLED?

Yes!  If you would like to fill the prescription on your own with your local eye doctor that is completely fine.  Just select the "Non-Prescription (frame only)" option under the "Prescription Type" tab on the frame you would like to purchase!

WHAT SIZE ARE YOUR EYEGLASSES? WHAT AGE CHILDREN DO THEY FIT?

Our eyeglass are designed to fit most children from ages 4 - 12 years old. We have two sizes: small, which fit most children ages 4 - 7, and large, which fit most children ages 8 - 12. But because every kid is different, we offer free home try-on’s so you can find the perfect frame for your little one!

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BOYS' AND GIRLS' FRAMES? 

Funny you should ask. Nothing, actually. All of our frames are unisex. All of the frames are fit for boys and girls, so we have distinguished them only by the names of the frames.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT LENSES YOU OFFER?

All of our lenses come standard with polycarbonate as to sell children’s glasses the FDA requires polycarbonate.  They also have 100% UV protection and anti-scratch coating is included in all standard lenses.

WHAT IF MY CHILD’S FRAMES NEED ADJUSTMENTS?

We have taken 2 years of feedback on our frames and redesigned our frames to be the best fit they can be for your little one!  

We’ve added hypoallergenic, flexible comfort tips that allow you to adjust the frames in the comfort of your own home! This allows the temple arm to hug your child’s ears (or extend straight back) for a perfect fit!

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CLEAN MY CHILD’S FRAMES?

To thoroughly clean your child’s lenses, simply rinse them with a mild dish soap and lukewarm water, and dry them with a soft cloth. For day-to-day cleaning of light smudges, a few swipes of the cleaning cloth included in your case should do the trick.

Please be careful to avoid using hot water on your lenses, as they can develop bubbles or cracks when exposed to high heat.  

Do not use tissues, paper towels, your shirt, or any harsh chemicals as they may scratch your lenses or damage the coating on the frames.

HOW IS THE DURABILITY OF YOUR FRAMES?

All of our frames are made of the highest quality custom cellulose acetate but please keep in mind they are not indestructible! We emphasize to all of our customers the importance of educating their children in taking special care of their eyewear!

WHERE CAN I FIND MY FRAME'S MEASUREMENTS?

On each product page, the frame measurements are listed as three numbers. The first number refers to the width of one lens in millimeters, the second number to the width of the bridge, and the third to the length of one of the temple arms.

Most glasses (including all Jonas Paul Eyewear frames) have these numbers printed on the inside of the temple arm as well.

HOW DOES THE HOME TRY-ON PROCESS WORK?

We have an easy try-on system for frames. Simply go to the HOME TRY ON KIT PAGE or click on what size kit you would like to order & color you want the frames sent to in (black or tortoise) and then proceed through the checkout process and you will receive your home try-on kit frames within a week! Frames will be shipped to your door. Open the package, smile big, try them on; when you’ve found the ones you love, return to our website to order the frames you would like as prescription glasses!  You will receive your new prescription glasses around 10 business days after you place your order! Voilà! A vision of style.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO TRY ON THE FRAMES AT HOME BEFORE I NEED TO SHIP THEM BACK?

We give you 7 days (from when your frames arrive to your door) to try the frames on and decide which ones you would like to order. At the end of the 7 days just ship the frames back to us using the pre-paid return label that we provide for you.

I THOUGHT THE HOME TRY-ON KIT WAS FREE, WHY DO YOU NEED MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION? 

Our home try-on kit is 100% free! We use credit card authorization of $1 for security reasons as well as to make sure the kit is returned safely to us. You will see a temporary $1 authorization in your credit card account after placing your order, but this pending authorization will disappear once the home try-on kit is returned back to us. If you do not return the home try-on kit, or frames in the kit are damaged (you would not be responsible for shipping carrier damages), your card will be charged $79.00 per damaged or un-returned frame(s). You should see the $1 charge disappear around 7-10 business days after your kit has been returned to Jonas Paul Eyewear.

HOW MANY FRAMES COME IN  MY HOME TRY-ON KIT? 

The SMALL kit includes 5 available styles.  The SMALL kit comes with the Ryan/Ruth, Paul/Paige, Jonas/Joyce, Miles/Maddie, Edward/Elsie.  

The LARGE kit includes 5 available styles. The LARGE kit comes with the Ryan/Ruth, Paul/Paige, Jonas/Joyce, Miles/Maddie and Edward/Elsie.

CAN I ORDER MULTIPLE HOME TRY-ON KITS? 

Due to the level of interest of our home try-on kits, we only allow our customers to order 1 home try-on kit at a time - if you are unsure as to what size frames your child will wear - do your best at selecting the correct size and if those frames are too big or or too small just return the kit and place a new order for a different size.  We appreciate our customers understanding our policy. 

WHAT COLOR OPTIONS WILL BE IN THE HOME TRY-ON KIT? 

We allow our customers to choose either a tortoise or black home try-on kit so just select the option you would like when placing your kit order!

ARE THE LIMITED EDITION FRAMES INCLUDED IN THE HOME TRY-ON KIT? 

Unfortunately not at this time, all of the limited edition frames are sold only as prescription or non-prescription glasses. 

If you would like to try on some limited edition frames, you can place a separate order for them as Non-Prescription (frame only) so that your child can try them on - we accept returns on Non-Prescription (frame only) as long as they are returned in their original condition within 30 days. 

DO YOU OFFER PROGRESSIVE OR BIFOCAL LENSES?

Unfortunately, we cannot fill progressive or bifocal lenses.  With us being an online company it is too difficult to properly measure the pupil location.  If your child needs bifocals we recommend that you purchase non-prescription glasses and then have your eye doctor fill the prescription for accuracy.

CAN I RETURN THE FRAMES ONCE THE PRESCRIPTION HAS BEEN FILLED? 

Unfortunately, we can’t accept a return on a frame that has had a prescription fulfilled, unless our lab made a mistake with the prescription or if the frame you received has any manufacturer’s defects, we will replace the frames or redo the prescription at no charge.  Just contact our team at service@jonaspauleyewear.com and we can arrange the return or replacement.

WHEN WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?

The processing time depends on several things: the type of order, whether your order is complete (do we have your prescription & PD?), as well as when you placed your order.

Home Try-on Kits and Non-Prescription orders are typically shipped within 2-3 business days.

Prescription orders will be processed (as long as we have received your prescription and PD) and the lab will get working immediately on your order.  Once your prescription order has been completed we will then ship it out to you.  Our standard turnaround time for prescription orders is 5-7 business days.  Please note : depending on the intensity of your child’s prescription and upgrades that you selected production times may vary.

Please note that business days are Monday-Friday, excluding national holidays. If your order is placed on Saturday or Sunday, it will be processed on the following business day.

Once your order has been processed, we will send you an “order update” email with your tracking number so you can monitor the status of your order.

DO YOU OFFER FREE SHIPPING?

We offer free shipping to anywhere in the United States for both our home try-on kits as well as non-prescription and prescription orders (some products and upgrades will charge for shipping).  Our standard free shipping is typically delivered within 5-7 days once it has been shipped.

DO YOU OFFER EXPEDITED SHIPPING?

We offer expedited shipping to anywhere in the United States for a low cost of $9.99.  Please upgrade your shipping when checking out.  If you select expedited shipping you can expect your package within 2-3 days once it has been shipped.

DO YOU SHIP OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES?

We only ship Non-Prescription & Prescription glasses outside of the United States.  WE DO NOT SHIP HOME TRY-ON KITS OUTSIDE OF THE USA.  

We ship to Canada, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Portugal, Sweden, Malaysia, Israel, Australia, and South Africa!  Please note that there will be an international fee for us to ship outside of the United States.  All applicable duties, tariffs, and customs fees are the responsibility of the customer.

We will accept returns on any non-prescription (frame only) purchases as long as the frame is returned to us in its original condition.  We accept returns within 30 days of delivery date. Customer is responsible for the cost of shipping your return back to us. We suggest using a shipping method with delivery confirmation as Jonas Paul Eyewear is not responsible for return packages lost in transit.

While we do not accept insurance, you can simply submit your receipt from Jonas Paul Eyewear to your insurance company. If you need a detailed receipt, send your request via email orders@jonaspauleyewear.com. Since every vision plan is different, we suggest that you contact your vision insurance administrator to find out how you can get reimbursed.

HOW QUICKLY CAN I EXPECT A RESPONSE FROM JONAS PAUL EYEWEAR?

We do our best at replying to emails within 24-48 hours during the work week.  Because everyone needs a break from work, our team takes the weekend off from work to spend time with our friends and family!
