Follow our instructions below for this easy, DIY eyeglass cleaner that uses ingredients you most likely already have at home. Or, purchase our pre-made Eyeglass Lens Cleaner and we'll send some your way!

Ingredients for DIY Eyeglass Cleaner:

  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Water
  • Dish soap
  • Spritzer bottle

Instructions

Combine 3 parts rubbing alcohol with 1 part water - we like to pour everything into a small cup so it's easier to stir together! Add 1-2 drops of dish soap then mix the ingredients together using a spoon. Pour the mixture into a spritzer bottle (Pro Tip: Use a funnel for minimal spillage!), then voilà! You have your very own homemade glasses cleaner.

To use, simply spritz the cleaner onto the lenses and gently wipe with a soft cotton cloth.

If you're in a pinch and don't have time to make the lens cleaner or don't have the ingredients available, you can always use a little water with some dish soap. Be sure to thoroughly dry the glasses after washing the lenses, though!

Can You Use Windex on Glasses?

We do not recommend using Windex or other window cleaners to clean your glasses. Window cleaners typically use harsher chemicals designed for commercial and residential windows. These windows are designed to withstand the elements and can handle the use of window cleaners. Use mild soap and dedicated glasses cleaners to clean your glasses.

Kids glasses that look good, do good, and feel good.
