Fair Information Practices

The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. In order to be in line with Fair Information Practices we will take the following responsive action, should a data breach occur:

  • We will notify you via email and/or via in-site notification within 7 business days
  • We also agree to the Individual Redress Principle which requires that individuals have the right to legally pursue enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. CAN SPAM Act

Mobile Augmented Reality App

Our Mobile Augmented Reality App collects the face data of our users to be able to manufacture the custom lenses of our products for each user. The Face data points that are collected are: 
  • Pupil Distance
  • A-measurement
  • B-measurement
  • Optical Center
  • Monocular
The App will explicitly ask for permission to collect the data from the user according to Apple's App Tracking Transparency policy. 
Data Usage
The face data collected from the augmented reality app is used to manufacture the custom lenses specific to the user's optical measurements. The Data is only used for the manufacturing of the client's product. 
Data Disclosure
Jonas Paul will not disclose any face data to any third party. 
Data Sharing
Jonas Paul will not share the Face Data with any third party. All collected face data is used internally only for the manufacturing of the lenses. 
Retention of Face Data
The Face Data will be stored internally for future purchases of the user. If requested, Jonas Paul will entirely delete the data.  See data retention policy below for our retention period and destruction.
  

SMS Compliance Statement
