Grand Rapids, MI - December 12, 2018 - Jonas Paul Eyewear, the company making fashion-forward kids frames at an accessible price point, today announced a partnership with Walmart that will bring their frames into all Walmart Vision Centers. Since its founding in 2013, Jonas Paul Eyewear has grown a strong and successful direct to consumer business, now, for consumers who prefer to try and buy in stores, they will have access to Jonas Paul’s most popular frames at their local Vision Center.

“There’s no doubt that our online business has helped us establish Jonas Paul Eyewear as a major player in this unique industry for kids,” said Ben Harrison, CEO and Co-Founder of Jonas Paul Eyewear. “What we’re finding now is there is significant demand for our stylish frames with millennial and gen x parents, and in order to reach more customers we have to align ourselves with a nationwide retailer that would allow easy access and professional optical care. Walmart’s Vision Center was a natural fit.”

Not only will this partnership have a huge impact on Jonas Paul’s footprint amongst some of today’s largest industry stakeholders, it will equip the brand with an tremendous opportunity to scale their Buy Sight, Give Sight program. For every frame sold, Jonas Paul donates sight-saving, and oftentimes life-saving, Vitamin A supplements to children around the world - with one frame impacting the lives of two children.

“Ben and I have a ten-year goal of increasing our reach to impact the lives of two million children,” said Laura Harrison, COO & Co-Founder of Jonas Paul Eyewear. “As of Q3 this year, we’ve given 51,041 children the gift of sight and health. Now that we’re offering over 20 cool and kid-friendly frames in Walmart’s Vision Center for families to choose from, we’re confident that Walmart’s reach and resources will help us hit this mark.”

Jonas Paul Eyewear was founded by Ben and Laura Harrison and inspired by the birth of their son, Jonas Paul. Jonas was born with a rare disorder, Peter’s Anomaly, that caused opacified corneas and glaucoma. Despite being blind at birth, Jonas Paul now has low vision thanks to 21 surgeries and the dedication of his loving parents. As Ben and Laura searched for fashionable eyeglasses for their son, they grew increasingly frustrated at the limited options for children. The Harrisons decided to leave their careers to launch Jonas Paul Eyewear with the mission of helping children feel beautiful in their glasses and providing sight to children in need with every purchase.

Since its founding in 2013, the company has been featured on NBC Nightly News and NBC Today Show, The Wall Street Journal, & Huffington Post. Jonas Paul Eyewear has garnered numerous awards for its social responsibility and design.
