Hey there and Happy St. Patrick’s Day (how is that possible?!)! We’re just a few months into 2022 and it seems like the year is flying by. I hope I’m not the only one who feels this way!

One of our 2022 family goals was to get into snow skiing. Since we live in Michigan and have decent snow skiing (for the Midwest!), we decided there’s no better time than the present. It is always a proud moment to see your kids learn something new and grow through the challenges of learning, and snow skiing definitely falls into that category for us.

As a parent of a child with a vision impairment, I wasn’t sure if skiing would really be an option for Jonas but I knew that if he just gave it a try that he might just fall in love with it. Sure enough, he was able to push through and has really fallen in love with the sport, despite it being a challenge for him! He’s proud of himself and I couldn’t be more proud of the progress he has made in just a few short weeks.

On a more recent trip, Jonas shouted, “I can do anything!” as he skied down the hill. I thought my heart might have exploded just a little bit! He reminded me that day on the ski hill that we can do anything if we just try and don’t give up on ourselves before we even start.

I love Jonas’ willingness to try new things despite the challenges and obstacles that may get in his way. He embraces our new Be You. Be Kind. campaign down to his core, and it is something that comes so naturally to him. I hope we can all be more like Jonas someday!

Our Be You. Be Kind. campaign this year is focused on kindness and embracing what makes you unique, like your Jonas Paul glasses. We recently launched some bold new colors that accentuate those unique features, and I hope you’re loving them! My personal favorite is the Harvey/Harper Candy Tortoise, which is really versatile on many face shapes and skin tones. And, my girl Sophie is loving the Maddie Lavender Crystal!

I hope you and your family will come alongside us this year for our Be You. Be Kind. campaign! I’m so excited to see what can be accomplished when we put kindness, positive thought, and encouragement into each and every day. As Jonas always says, “You need to push the positive through the negative.”

My baby boy turns NINE at the end of this month, and we are so excited to celebrate him and his kind heart all month long! Be sure to keep an eye on our social media as we celebrate his birthday month with a big sale coming up and other fun new things coming this spring…but I promised our team I wouldn’t say too much ;)

I will forever be grateful for your business and support! Without you we would have no business and no opportunity to impact people around the globe. ‘Thank you’ doesn’t seem a big enough phrase, but I hope you know how much you mean to us at Jonas Paul. You are the best!
